Can you hear our Earth calling
Down lines of old?
Be wise to listen sharp
To tales so bold.
Can you hear our Earth crying
Across the heath?
(Our healing heath)
Be wise to listen sharp
To tales bequeathed.
Aghast we stand, trembling
Upon our heath,
This barbed wire heath.
We explored trenches deep,
Ploughed up our wood,
Our living Earth,
In silent wrath.
For we, infused of hope,
Knew where we stood.
For our long, hard histories
Of market war,
Of culture war,
Man has been summoned down
To hear our score.
